Why do a colon cleanse?

Irrigating your colon doesn’t sound pleasant, but practitioners claim it can provide numerous health benefits like improving digestion and weight loss base on many clients results from many different visits since one time only it is not a magic thing . However, doing a colon cleanse doesn’t come without risks. Like most lifestyle practices, it should be approached carefully, with sufficient knowledge of the potential dangers, and this knowledge we get from many different instructors that certify our practice, also we are certify by the IAC-T, (International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy)

What is a colon cleanse?

Colon cleansing, also known as colonic irrigation or colonic hydrotherapy, involves flushing the colon with fluids to remove waste. It’s a practice that’s been around since ancient times, and the benefits are based on the premise that digestive waste can be a toxin to the body.

Generally, a professional called a Colonic hygienist performs the colon cleanse while you rest on a table. It involves sending approximately 15 to 30 liters of fluid through a tube into the rectum. Toxins are then expelled through a different tube, and the process is repeated.

You can find at-home colon irrigation products online or in your local drug store, but are very low pressured and some will just leak from your colon, not covering the full distance to remove all the content, we have a specific machine that do all the service under a technician controlled environment we assist you during all the process, this may take 35 to 45 minutes.

The ‘benefits’ of colon cleansing

Practitioners of colon cleansing say you can reap numerous benefits by removing the toxins from your digestive system. They say it can lead to weight loss, better digestion, increased energy, and clearer thinking. But most of these claims are unproven and lack scientific support, but only base on a pure experience  from clients who had 6 sessions of Colon cleanse, every body reacts in a different way to this treatments and yes we can not give you a specific promises or results plus this are not results just from one visit to our place.

One small pilot study Trusted Source done in 2016 noted improvement in gastrointestinal symptoms after colonic irrigation in patients with irritable bowel syndrome.

But despite the results of the above study, colon cleansing should be approached with caution, as it can potentially lead to colon damage. We outline the possible risks of colon cleansing below.

The risks are many, when are done with no training

The list of potential risks associated with colon cleansing is much longer than the list of benefits, and just because we are aware of this, we reenforce the techniques and update the knowledge of this practice to be able to provide a better  Colonic to our clients

Dehydration

While some of the weight loss associated with colon cleansing is due to the removal of waste, it also causes the removal of  fluids. Dehydration can lead to kidney failure in extreme cases, our service is focus on cleaning the colon walls along to remove the content, we don’t get to the small intestine or to other parts

Electrolyte imbalance

Colon cleanses can upset the balance of electrolytes like potassium and sodium in your body. These chemicals carry electrical signals across cells, and an imbalance can lead to a loss of consciousness as well as kidney damage and  that is why we have to control the time of each service  and keep on the 35 to 45 minutes session to avoid any risk

Bacterial imbalance and infection

Colon cleanses can potentially invite unhealthy bacteria into the lower digestive system with the instruments and fluids used. They also remove the healthy bacteria that can fight that infection, it is for this reason, We Do Not reuse our supplies, and always we use dischargeable supplies on each session and disinfect after each service  too…. all the area and our machine

Bowel perforation

Bowel perforation happens when a tear occurs in the wall of the lower intestine. It’s considered a medical emergency. Though symptoms begin with fever, pain, chills, and nausea, it can progress and even be fatal, and that is why we use FDA approval devices also the technician it is present all the time to make sure nothing cause’s discomfort or emergencies during the service we provide

An alternative

In addition to the traditional irrigation colon cleanse, there are many products on the market that claim to deliver similar benefits through oral supplements. These may come in capsules, powders, or teas, and include plant fibers and natural laxatives. If you opt for supplements, read the package directions carefully and discuss the ingredients with your doctor.

Even some of this products are not effective right the way and will get stuck on the stomach, may take some time to move to the small intestine and then to the colon, that is why some our of clients will get to us with 3 to 10 days of not going to the bathroom, again ….. we are here to help you and may need to see you next day or in 2 days to complete a back to back treatment.
